Welcome! We are a loosely organized group of hickory golfers in and around Northern California from Monterey to Mt. Shasta.
We enjoy the collecting and playing of wood-shafted clubs, as well the history, architecture, and lore associated with golf in its Golden Age.
- 2022 Northern California Hickory Challenge
The NCHG visits the Monterey Bay this June for our first annual Northern California Hickory Challenge
Being played this year at the 1928 Pajaro Valley Golf Course in Royal Oaks, California off the coast of Monterey Bay. We’re up for the Challenge, are you?
Join us on Sunday June 26th with Tee Times beginning at 11am. Currently we have a slim field because of other summer commitments and our late posting announcement. We might make this gathering less formal so anybody who wants to try out hickory for the first time, this might be a good outing to give it a go. Potentially we’ll just award closest to the pin and low gross and net scores.
Carmona’s BBQ after the round for purchase
Three Tee boxes, Open(white), Senior(gold) and Womens(red)
$50 dollars for golf/prizes, $20 for cart rental
